Best Bets for Gold Medal Count at the 2016 Summer Olympics

Another four years means another Summer Olympic Games, but this time we head to the Southern Hemisphere and a very hot and balmy Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There will be quite a few willing combatants for the top spot in the gold medal count, but only one country will truly stand out above the rest – the United States. The country’s training programs and athlete crop always seems to be a little bit more ahead of the game. They may not have to worry about Russia breathing down their necks in the ranks this year either, given their recent doping...

Major League Baseball Opens Season in Australia

The regular season for Major League Baseball opened down under when the Los Angeles Dodgers played the Arizona Diamondbacks. Seattle Defeats San Francisco Easily

Sunday night the Seattle Seahawks made a huge early season statement by defeating the San Francisco 49ers 29-3. Australian Adam Scott Takes Barclays Title

Adam Scott, this year’s Masters champion, did not think after finishing his final round that his score was enough to win on Sunday in The Barclays tournament. Even his caddie had his golf clubs packed in his travel case. He thought being invited to the tower to speak with CBS was just a courtesy. He only had the hope that Justin Rose and Tiger Woods among others would have difficulty in the closing holes so he could either play in a playoff or win outright. When first Rose, then Woods and finally Gary Woodland missed birdie putts on the last hole,...

He had won his first ever major, shooting an impressive two under par round of 68 to end the four day tournament at 10-under par beating fellow American Jim Furyk by two shots. Someone in the media...
