South Korea based Samsung Electronics has unveiled its newest handset in the Galaxy line of smartphones.
The new Galaxy S4 Zoom is said to be the first smartphone with a 10x zoom, as the handset maker attempts to blur the line even more between mobile devices and cameras of professional quality.
The latest smartphone or smartphone/camera or camera with smartphone depending on how the user sees it, features a professional quality camera with 16 megapixels, smart modes, Xenon flash and optical image stabilization.
Samsung CEO and its president, JK Shin said that communications are becoming more visual and consumers want the chance to capture and share their most important moments with quality photos but do not always have the opportunity to bring along a quality camera.
The S4 Zoom, said Chin, has changed all of that. It combines the connectivity and functionality of one of the best smartphones available, with a camera that is professional in quality resulting in the best of both worlds for the user.
The phone/camera is 15.4mm thick, has a screen that is 4.3 inches in size powered by a 1/5 GHz processor that is dual core and runs on an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The price or availability of the new S4 Zoom has not been released by Samsung. However, the new smartphone is expected to be available to the public by late summer.
