The wireless provider is increasing the ante on its prepaid plans.
The service, which is a unit of Sprint, is slashing each month to month prepaid plan it has by $5. It is also doubling the amount of data that is available on each of the plans. The new promotion starts on Wednesday September 3 and runs through November 3.

However, competition has increased from MetroPCS owned by T-Mobile and Cricket Wireless owned by AT&T, of which both revamped their own plans in 2014.
Boost’s plans now with the $5 cut are $35, $45 or $55. They all have options that provide unlimited call and texts, but the plan on the low end will now include data in the amount of 1GB at speeds of 3G or 4G instead of them being 500MB.
The middle plan will have 5GB of data available and the high end will offer data in the amount of 10GB.
There is one catch on the plan that is the lowest, with video streaming limited potentially to 3G.

A great deal of that loss was attributed to certain subscribers that ended Assurance Wireless phone service that was government subsidized, the company definitely is faced with much stronger competition.
