Why it matters

Quarterly revenue rose by about $1.32 billion year over year. That gives the business a larger base of work and cash generation. OptimistFi's case is that Comfort Systems USA can keep compounding if scale keeps turning nonresidential demand into higher-margin work, and this quarter supports that view.

Net income per diluted share also climbed to $13.91 from $8.25. Operating income rose to $624.6 million from $378.9 million. The filing also says unexpected backlog adjustments or cancellations could keep that backlog from becoming revenue or profits. The dividend increase adds a cash-return signal, but it does not by itself prove the growth rate can persist.

What's next

The company will host a webcast and conference call on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. Investors will hear management discuss the results and position. The slide presentation will be on the company's website, and a replay will be available the next business day after the call.

The dividend will be payable on November 23, 2026 to stockholders of record at the close of business on November 12, 2026. Confirmation that backlog keeps translating into revenue and cash flow would support the case, while softer commentary on conversion would weaken it.
