What happened
Aris Mining Corporation (NYSE: ARIS) reported 217.3 koz of gold production for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, up 16% from YTD 2025. Q3 2026 production was 69.3 koz, sales were 68.4 koz, and the average realized price was about $4,204 an ounce. That produced about $287 million in Q3 gold revenue and more than $972 million year to date.
The company said it remains on track to meet the lower end of 2026 production guidance of 300,000 to 350,000 ounces. At Marmato, the new Cascabel 3 filtered tailings facility has been commissioned. Aris said the planned transition from Cascabel 2 led to about four weeks of flotation plant downtime, which was used for upgrades and maintenance.

Why it matters
OptimistFi's case is that Aris Mining works if FY2025's step-up reflects durable low-cost production and disciplined reinvestment, not just a favorable metals-price moment. This release is mixed for that view, because year-to-date output rose 30.6 koz from 186.7 koz a year earlier.
Q3 output fell to 69.3 koz from 73.7 koz in Q2 and 74.3 koz in Q1, and the filing links that drop to downtime and earlier explosives access constraints. Marmato matters because Aris says the Segovia and Marmato expansions are expected to support annual gold production of about 500,000 ounces once fully ramped-up.
The $419 million cash balance gives the buildout room to continue, but the release still shows operational interruptions rather than a clean run.

What's next
The company expects to report its full Q3 2026 financial and operating results on or around November 4, 2026.
Marmato's first gold in Q4 2026 is the next operating test. Stronger output and a steadier ramp would support the expansion case, while another weak quarter would leave the durability question open.
