Obama Called Stupid by Senator

Chuck Grassley a Republican Senator from Iowa started a war of words on Twitter with a top presidential political strategist. On the social networking site, it appears as if Senator Grassley called President Barack Obama stupid. Grassley was responding to comments made on Saturday by the president about the Supreme Court and their possible striking down of his health care law.

Grassley said in his tweet that a number of his constituents had asked him why he was not outraged at Obama for the president’s attack against the Supreme Court’s independence. Grassley tweeted that, “he was not stupid as this ex professor of law.”

A former senior strategist for the president, David Axelrod, who now is involved with the reelection campaign for the president, responded to the Senator’s tweet by sending his own tweet.

Axelrod tweeted, “Beware, Senator Grassley. I believe your account on Twitter has been hijacked by a 6-year old and is emitting foolish Tweets in order to embarrass you.”

As of yet the White House has not responded to the Twitter war of words. Eric Holder, the Attorney General, in response to the criticism coming in against the president because of his comments of last week, offered assurances that the authority of the courts was respected by the White House administration. He said, “There are no disputes that our courts properly review the constitutionality of acts done by Congress.”
