Former Bikini Model Arrested For Heading Drug Ring

Australian law enforcement officials captured an international model who is accused of heading a drug ring that had tentacles across the globe. The swimsuit model allegedly ran her drug ring from the confines of her Hollywood apartment.

Simone Farrow, known by many as the former Ed Hardy bikini model, used close to 20 aliases while shipping methamphetamines across the globe via FedEx. She even used the U.S. Postal Service as a means of sending drugs, alleges the Australian police and the DEA.

Farrow, 37, was taken into custody in Queensland. She was extradited to Sydney and denies all charges against her. She claims she was hiding because she was running away to save her life.

Farrow said, “Someone was trying to kill me. I have had relationships with underworld figures and they may feel threatened by what is going on.”

The former model was originally arrested in October of 2009 in Australia. At the same time, DEA agents in the U.S. were raiding her apartment on Sunset Boulevard. They allegedly seized documents and drugs. Last month, Farrow was bonded out of jail for $150,000 and skipped bail. She was finally re-apprehended last week on the Australian Gold Coast in a cheap hotel.

While a model, she went by the name Simone Starr. She also was a Penthouse centerfold. Authorities say that behind her high-fashion glamour façade, Farrow trafficked crystal meth by hiding the drug amongst bath salts’ shipments. Officials said at least seven others were involved in the global operation.
