The halftime show at Sunday’s night Super Bowl was the most spectacular in years, with some people calling it the best yet. Beyonce put on an exhilarating performance that millions watched and commented on in media sites online.
While Beyonce was performing, more than 5.5 million viewers posted tweets on Twitter. The tweets were in praise of her incredible performance. The 31-year old singer received high praise from superstars of the screen and stage.
Many viewers of her halftime show said the show caused the 36-minute blackout that took place shortly after halftime. Both football fans at the game and those viewing on television around the world were in awe of the singer’s performance.
Reality TV star and model Kim Kardashian has been able to spend time with Beyonce of late due to Kanye West her boyfriend. Kardashian tweeted that Beyonce “killed it” and added that when Destiny’s Child appeared, “her life was made.”
Before the game started, Alicia Keys sang and played the Star-Spangled Banner on the piano. Her rendition was quite long, but loved by those at the game.
As to not be overshadowed by Beyonce’s performance, the two teams in the Super Bowl, the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers put on a great display of football. The Ravens were able to hold off the 49ers with a late game goal line stand to win their second Super Bowl by the score of 34-31.
