Cherie Blair and Gail Lese have teamed up under the banner of Allele Funds to create 100 new healthcare facilities in the United Kingdom under the name of Mee Healthcare.
The fund is seeking to raise 65 million GBP ($100 million U.S.) to create a chain of one-stop healthcare clinics. These clinics will be open in supermarkets and shopping centers, offering vision, dental and primary care.
Mee Healthcare is recruiting medical staff in Leeds, Manchester, Bath and Cambridgeshire to staff their network of healthcare centers, which provide a wide range of premium healthcare and wellbeing services. Mee’s health centres are conveniently located and offer extended opening times for when you need healthcare services outside of the work day.
The company’s co-founder is Mrs. Cherie Blair. She is a distinguished barrister with a strong international reputation, having led cases to the highest courts in the UK and European Union. Her professional expertise includes commercial, employment and medical law. Blair has studied law a the London School of Economics and is a founder of the ground-breaking legal practice, Matrix Chambers.
Dr. Gail Lese is the co-founder of Allele Funds. She previously led a $100 million Fidelity Fund that BusinessWeek named one of the “Best Mutual Funds” under her leadership. She has an MBA from Harvard and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Cornell.
