Why it matters
The sales midpoint increased 1.8%, but the adjusted EPS midpoint increased 8.6%. That gap suggests the updated quarter carries better operating leverage than the sales change alone implies.
The longer-term framework is much larger. The $2.1 billion data-center target equals 65.6% of targeted fiscal 2030 sales, making that market the central driver of the plan.
The company also targets a 70% adjusted gross margin and free cash flow equal to 35% of sales. Those goals require profitable growth, not revenue expansion alone.
Management labels the fiscal 2030 figures as targets and goals, not guidance or forecasts. The company also cannot reconcile the forward non-GAAP measures without unreasonable effort.
The strongest counterargument is concentration and execution risk. A strong quarter can improve confidence, but it cannot prove a 75% data-center revenue growth rate through fiscal 2030.

What's next
Watch the fiscal third-quarter report for delivery inside the tighter ranges. Revenue mix, gross margin and operating expenses will show whether the EPS improvement is repeatable.
The narrower outlook ranges also raise the precision test. A miss would matter more because management updated the figures late in the quarter with less time remaining.
After that, track data-center revenue against the fiscal 2030 path. The thesis strengthens only if growth converts into the stated margin and free-cash-flow targets without excessive concentration risk.
