Long time drummer of the The Doobie Brothers, Mike Hossack, has died from cancer. March 14, 2012- Mike Hossack, the longtime drummer of the rock group The Doobie Brothers, died on Monday at 65 from cancer said the manager of the band. Hossack was instrumental in giving the band the distinctive sound it had in the 1970s. He was one of two drummers the band used at the same time. Davy Jones Funeral Held In Florida

Former Monkees star Davy Jones had a small family funeral in Florida. March 8, 2012- The publicist for Davy Jones said a funeral was held for the Monkees singer. The funeral was private and held near the singer’s Florida home. Family, including his daughters and current wife were present. The publicist said Jones’ body would be cremated and his ashes would be returned to his birthplace, Manchester, England. Two Arrested For Stealing Michael Jackson Catalog

March 6, 2012- Two men were arrested and authorities charged them with hacking the computers at Sony Music and stealing a back catalog of Michael Jackson’s. Soul Train creator Don Cornelius has killed himself. February 2, 2012- The creator of Soul Train, Don Cornelius, died Wednesday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The seventy-five year old created the music and dance iconic TV program that helped bring black pop culture to the living rooms of Americans across the country.
