Former Monkees star Davy Jones had a small family funeral in Florida. March 8, 2012- The publicist for Davy Jones said a funeral was held for the Monkees singer. The funeral was private and held near the singer’s Florida home. Family, including his daughters and current wife were present. The publicist said Jones’ body would be cremated and his ashes would be returned to his birthplace, Manchester, England. Soul Train creator Don Cornelius has killed himself. February 2, 2012- The creator of Soul Train, Don Cornelius, died Wednesday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
