Controversial pop star Sinead O’Connor got married in Las Vegas.
December 9, 2011- Weddings in Las Vegas are commonplace. Weddings on the back of a pink Cadillac are not so common. Nevertheless, singer Sinead O’Connor from Ireland was wed on Thursday in a Las Vegas chapel on the back of a Cadillac. She also celebrated her 45th birthday.
One insider said, “Sinead wanted the entire ceremony in the pink Cadillac and that is what she got.”
O’Connor wore a dress that was low cut in the front and revealed her many tattoos. She filled out the required paperwork before taking her place in the pink Caddy. She was married at A Little White Wedding Chapel that is located right on the strip in Las Vegas.
A friend of hers said, “The dress was not traditional for a wedding nor was the wedding itself traditional.” She added, “It is not too often you are witness to a drive thru wedding.”
Following the ceremony of ten minutes, O’Connor and her husband Barry Herridge lit candles and the chapel employees sang Happy Birthday to the new bride. Herridge wore a pink shirt and dark jacket to the ceremony.
O’Connor is known to be a bit controversial. Her wedding was no exception. She married her online boyfriend of just three months who she had not even met in person until a few days before the ceremony.
