Hall of Famer Michael Jordan is engaged to a Cuban model.
December 30, 2011- The former superstar player, current owner of the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA and NBA Hall of Fame member announced he would marry his girlfriend, model Yvette Prieto. The two have been dating for over three years. She is a Cuban-American model who is 32 years old. The two were engaged over the Christmas holiday, but no date for their wedding was announced.
Jordan, 48, was previously married for 17 years and has two sons Marcus James and Jeffrey Michael and one daughter, Jasmine. Reports say the divorce settlement between Jordan and his first wife was valued at over $168 million.
Jordan is well known for his accomplishments on the basketball court. He was a five-time MVP award winner, was named to ten All NBA teams and nine All Defensive teams. He made 14 All Star appearances and won three All Star Game Most Valuable Player awards.
His playing statistics include ten scoring titles, six MVP awards for NBA final series play and the defensive player of the year in 1988. He won six NBA titles playing for the Chicago Bulls and is considered by many to be the best player to ever lace up a pair of sneakers. He also played for the Chicago Bulls team that set the regular season record for victories with 72 in the 1995-96 season.
