Pop singer Whitney Houston was drinking heavily the week before she died.
February 15, 2012- Sources at the posh Beverly Hills hotel where Whitney Houston was staying last week, said she was seen drinking heavily on at least two mornings. The source said Houston ordered alcoholic drinks before 10 am on both Wednesday and Thursday morning. The drinks were ordered from the pool area and the hotel lobby.
Guests on those two days also heard the late singer complaining loudly about the quality of her drinks. She apparently accused the hotel’s bartenders of including too much ice or watering down the drinks.
The same source said a number of the guests expressed their concern about the erratic behavior of Houston. Some of them said she was dressed in clothing that was mismatched and her appearance was disheveled suggesting to them that she may have been intoxicated. Other guests said Houston was also jumping around the pool and performing somersaults.
On the days she was seen near the pool, Houston was alone on occasion; with her entourage on occasion; and with a male companion on occasion, said the source. Saturday, the day she died, Houston also was seen drinking during the morning around the pool area, however the source said her appearance or behavior did not look or seem erratic.
Authorities said they are determining the sources of the singer’s prescription medication that was found inside her hotel room on the day she died. Subpoenas have been issued by the coroner’s office of Los Angeles for her prescriptions and medical records.
