
1980's actress Demi Moore is set to return to the big screen.
January 4, 2011- Actress Demi Moore has signed on to play icon and feminist Gloria Steinem in a film about Linda Lovelace, the star of adult films. Moore will play the feminist who in the 1970s covered the launch of the movie Deep Throat, the adult film that stared Lovelace. She also profiled the porn star in the magazine Ms. at the same time.
Also signed on to play in the new film is Adam Brody who will star as Harry Reems, the co-star in the Deep Throat movie. Eric Roberts will play Nat Laurendi, the expert on lie detectors.
The new movie Lovelace is shooting in L.A. and Amanda Seyfried plays Lovelace. Hugh Hefner will be played by James Franco in a cameo role. Other stars appearing in the movie include Peter Sarsgaard, Hank Azaria, Robert Patrick, Sharon Stone and John Boreman.
Jeffrey Friedman and Rob Epstein, the directors of Howl, will direct the film. The role of Sammy Davis Jr. has not yet been cast, said insiders. Seyfried said the role would be hard, as she will play a true-life character that starred in movies that were extreme.
She is not the first actress to be associated with the role of Linda Lovelace. Lindsay Lohan was set to play the porn star in another bio about Lovelace but was dropped from the cast.
