Former 80's TV star Melissa Gilbert is slated to appear on the new edition of Dancing with the Stars. February 29, 2012- The fourteenth edition of Dancing with the Stars will start soon. Benefit Concert To Be Held In Detroit

Kid Rock is helping with a fundraiser for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. February 28, 2012- The Detroit Symphony Orchestra will team with Kid Rock for a concert to benefit the orchestra that is nationally recognized. The show will be on May 12 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. The goal is to raise over $1 million said DSO officials. Kid Rock will perform with the DSO as well as with his band. Bayer Announces Profit But Remains Cautious

Drug giant Bayer AG expects a cautious 2012. February 28, 2012- Bayer AG, the pharmaceutical and chemical conglomerate, announced on Tuesday it was cutting its forecast for sales and said it was cautious about 2012. This announcement came even as Bayer made a profit during the fourth quarter of 2011. The German based company reported a profit of $531.9 million compared to a loss of $193 million in the same quarter of 2010. Nevertheless, the company fell short of analyst’s estimates of $551 million....

Retail giant Sears is in big financial trouble. February 24, 2012- Sears Holdings Corp announced a fourth quarter loss of $2.4 billion late Wednesday. Processed food giant Kraft had great earnings this past quarter. February 22, 2012- Earnings for the fourth quarter increased 54% at Kraft Foods Inc., the company reported Monday. Walmart Increases Ownership In Chinese Website

Retail giant Walmart is moving into the Chinese market. February 19, 2012- Walmart announced it would purchase a 51% share in Yihaodian, an ecommerce website in China. It marks a substantial move for the retailer to increase its presence online in China. Details of the deal were not disclosed. The website is one of the fastest-growing businesses in China. Pop star Michael Jackson's estate is being sought after with a lawsuit. February 18, 2012- On Friday, a former manager of Michael Jackson claimed he was owed 15% of the earnings from the estate of the late entertainer. Auto maker General Motors made a huge profit in 2011. February  17, 2012- General Motors released its earnings report for 2011 and ended the year with a profit of $7.6 billion. United Kingdom Has “Negative Outlook” Say Moody’s

The U.K. is in danger of losing it's credit rating. February 14, 2012- Moody’s, the credit rating agency, has warned the UK that it may cut its rating therefore increasing its cost of borrowing funds. Bank Failures Now Total Nine

Bank bankruptcies continue to plague the U.S. February 12, 2012- Two more banks failed on Friday bringing the 2012 total of bank failures to nine. Regulators closed two small banks in Indiana and Illinois. The number of banks that have been shuttered thus far in 2012 is less than the rate in 2011 when 92 were closed. In addition, last year through February, regulators had already closed 18 banks. The FDIC took control of Charter National Bank in Illinois. The bank had nearly $94 million in total...

Don Cornelius Found Dead of Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound

Soul Train creator Don Cornelius has killed himself. February 2, 2012- The creator of Soul Train, Don Cornelius, died Wednesday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
